Groups tasked with CMS accreditation of medical imaging providers

The CMS has given the American College of Radiology, the Joint Commission and the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission authority to accredit providers of CT, MRI, PET and other advanced medical imaging modes. The move is in compliance with the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act of 2008.
