Hospital, doctor type affect prostate cancer treatment

Study data showed prostate cancer patients treated in county hospitals were more likely to have surgery while those in private facilities were more likely to get radiation or hormone therapy. U.S. researchers said the type of physician a patient sees may be part of the reason for the differences in treatment decisions, with patients at county hospitals initially under the care of urologists.
