Las Vegas' 1st design-build road project is completed

The Nevada Department of Transportation has put the finishing touches on its first design-build road job. The $242 million project widens 5.8 miles of Interstate 15. North Corridor Constructors, a joint venture of Las Vegas Paving and CH2M-Hill of Englewood, Colo., won the project by proposing an aggressive schedule and replacing, rather than widening, three aging bridges.
