Pharmacists urge CMS to strengthen e-prescribing standards

The National Community Pharmacists Association is calling on the CMS to adopt tougher requirements for e-prescribing. The group says the current level of e-prescribing required for physicians to become eligible for incentive payments is too low and could even discourage an increase in e-prescribing by some providers and participation from some pharmacists.
