Industry groups want to have their agenda included in the State of the Nation address because it can have "a very significant impact," said Bob Dinneen, CEO of the Renewable Fuels Association. President George W. Bush's 2006 address, which talked about the country's "addiction" to foreign oil and the need to move to ethanol, "led to the passage of the energy bill in 2007 that resulted in the renewable-fuel standard in this country," Dinneen added.
