Tech companies compete for TSA windfall

A $1 billion pot of stimulus money earmarked for airport security has set off a "gold rush" in the technology sector, the Los Angeles Times reports. Among the possible winners: Syagen Technology, maker of a next-generation "puffer" machine, and IDO Security, whose Magshoe explosive-detection mats allow passengers to keep their shoes on during screening.
