U.S. agricultural sector participates in Haiti relief efforts

Various segments of the U.S. agricultural sector are contributing in different ways to post-earthquake relief efforts in Haiti. The AVMA and American Veterinary Medical Foundation are supporting the Animal Relief Coalition of Haiti in efforts targeted to Haiti's livestock. The coalition has arrived in Haiti to offer rescue services, veterinary care and vaccinations to control disease spread, AVMA and AVMF reported on their Web sites.
