Windstream earmarks $20M to expand fiber build

Little Rock, Ark.-based Windstream Communications said it would spend $20 million to upgrade its fiber network to expand Ethernet and other next-generation technologies to enterprise customers as well as invest in 3G and 4G wireless networks. The telecom owns systems across 16 states, largely in rural areas.
