Missouri schools use online game to teach financial literacy

Students in Missouri schools are learning about credit, interest, saving and investing through an online game called MoneyIsland. The program, launched in 41 schools in southeast Missouri and northwest Arkansas through a partnership with Focus Bank, teaches financial literacy to students ages 8 to 13. About 90 banks and credit unions help make MoneyIsland available to schools in 40 states.
