Report: Apple said to be setting up chip R&D center in Israel

Apple reportedly is establishing a research and development center for semiconductor technology in Israel, according to a report in Calcalist, an Israeli newspaper. Setting up the facility is separate from the company's acquisition of Anobit Technologies, which is being folded into Apple's hardware engineering division, CEO Tim Cook said Tuesday.
