The Carrizo Wilcox Aquifer in South Texas has sufficient water to support oil and natural gas production aside from just commercial and residential consumption, according to a state-appointed task force. The group determined that "water sourcing in South Texas is currently not an issue," said Texas Railroad Commissioner David Porter.
