Research project to track students from school to career

Researchers soon could have access to more data about the keys to student achievement. The New York State Education Department is working on a system that would generate data about students from preschool to college and even career. The move comes amid concerns from some about the safety and security of student data. New York would join 44 other states that have linked data between schools and colleges, according to the Data Quality Campaign.
