Think tank issues review of NCLB

The No Child Left Behind Act has been successful in making improved student achievement a high-visibility goal, although states will need more funding to meet proficiency targets, according to a comprehensive national study of the law by the nonpartisan Center on Education Policy. The study also said federal and state education officials must devise strategies to help struggling schools and poorly-performing students.
