Free Web product takes pulse of bloggers

BlogPulse, a free search engine and Web site that tracks Web log activity, is the cornerstone product of the new Nielsen BuzzMetrics, which was created when AC Nielsen and Nielsen Media Research owner VNU acquired Intelliseek, the product's developer. Nielsen BuzzMetrics' client roster already includes Comcast, Ford Motor, General Motors, HBO, Kraft Foods, Microsoft, Sony, most of the top pharmaceutical companies and at least eight TV networks.
