Sony Ericsson inks content deals for digital music store

Leading international record companies, including Sony BMG, EMI Group and Warner Music Group, have signed on as content partners for Sony Ericsson's online music service, which will go live in May, the mobile handset maker announced Sunday. Sony Ericsson intends to compete with market leader iTunes by offering more than 5 million tracks through its revamped PlayNow music download service.
