Beacon Biotechnology develops tool for early disease detection

Beacon Biotechnology has devised a computer chip that can be used for the early detection of disease. Called BrightSPOT, the device features 112 compartments that are programmed to recognize disease markers such as proteins and viruses in a single drop of blood, urine or other bodily fluid.
