Gay-divorce showdown in Lone Star State

A Dallas man legally married in Massachusetts is apparently the first in Texas to file a lawsuit to obtain a divorce of his same-sex marriage. Texas has a constitutional ban that prohibits recognition of same-sex unions -- including marriage -- from other states. Texas plans to oppose the divorce proceeding on the grounds that the marriage "does not legally exist," according to a statement from Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott.
