Stimulus package would spend $90B on infrastructure, economist says

The proposed economic-stimulus package will include $90 billion for building and repairing infrastructure such as highways, bridges and mass transit systems. Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody's Economy.com, said that portion of the plan would create 670,000 new construction jobs by the end of 2010. Steel makers, concrete producers and cement companies would also gain jobs, according to a study funded by the Alliance for American Manufacturing.
