China to build world's longest sea bridge

China plans to build the world's longest sea bridge, linking the country's Guangdong province in the south to Hong Kong and Macau. The 30-mile-long, six-lane bridge, slated for completion in 2016, is expected to cost $10.7 billion and will be built to withstand powerful earthquakes, typhoons and the impact of giant commercial vessels.
