Consumer security demand propels Symantec revenue ahead

While its storage and services businesses suffered in the fiscal 2010 third quarter, Symantec enjoyed a 7% revenue boost from its consumer-security segment. Symantec hit $1.55 billion in revenue despite the security and compliance areas dropping 2%, and storage and server management dipping 8% compared to a year ago.
