Dietary polyamines tied to colon cancer risk

A study found high intake of polyamine-rich foods -- which include some sharp cheeses, canned or frozen nongreen vegetables, citrus fruits, and some meat and poultry -- increased the risk of large, high-grade and advanced benign colonic tumors by 40% to 65% compared with low intake.
