Herceptin plus chemo increases gastric cancer survival

Adding trastuzumab, or Herceptin, to chemotherapy for patients with advanced HER2-positive gastric cancer increases survival without a decline in quality of life, a study found. Researchers said pain scores and use of analgesics were similar between patients who received chemotherapy with or without trastuzumab.
