Holiday Inn's midscale profile a plus in luring business travelers

As the economy continues to hamper corporate travel, Holiday Inn is making a play for business travelers who, in better times, might stay at more upscale hotels. "Nobody ever gets fired for staying at Holiday Inn," said Kevin Kowalski, senior vice president of global brand management for Holiday Inn. "There is no preconceived notion of extravagance attached to our brand."
