LaHood, Oberstar jointly support infrastructure spending

Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood and Rep. James Oberstar, D-Minn., chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, have united in support of federal grants for major infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges and mass transit. The Transportation Department wants to see projects that enhance or promote "safety, livable communities, state of good repair, environmental sustainability and economic competitiveness."
