New allegations in Starwood case against Hilton put reputations at risk

New allegations in the corporate espionage lawsuit that Starwood Hotels & Resorts has filed against Hilton raise the stakes to a whole new level and puts major corporate reputations on the line. Starwood alleges that, in its discovery process, it found proof that Hilton CEO Christopher Nassetta and 43 other high-ranking Hilton executives were aware of and condoned the use of documents stolen from Starwood to develop a Hilton boutique brand that would compete with Starwood's popular W hotel brand. While the initial lawsuit forced Hilton to put its new Denizen lifestyle brand on hold, Starwood is now asking the court to force Hilton to halt development of any new or existing luxury brands.
