Option for land-based casinos removed from Indiana bill

Indiana lawmakers amended a casino bill that would have allowed riverboat casinos to move inland. The bill now contains only minor provisions to update riverboat casino operations, including removing the requirement for crews and navigational equipment for the stationary boats. Casino owners had objected to the $50 million fee required to move riverboat casinos on land.
