Some teachers see Social Security benefits erased

Those who entered teaching after holding private-sector jobs can lose some of their Social Security benefits if they live in one of the 15 states where teachers don't participate in Social Security. Lawmakers are trying to change a decades-old law to restore the benefits. Previous attempts have failed.
