L.A. County ordinance promotes community wellness, exercise

New residential developments in Los Angeles County will be required to have wider walkways, bicycle parking and more shade over sidewalks as part of a new ordinance approved by county supervisors to promote wellness and fight obesity. The ordinance will make it easier for communities to have gardens and farmers markets. A separate motion passed that requires more research on how to make neighborhoods more pedestrian friendly.
