Robot zaps hospital room bugs, reduces MRSA in ICU

A mobile robot called Xenex uses ultraviolet light technology to kill microbiological contaminants in hospital rooms. Cone Health in North Carolina has used the Xenex in four of its hospitals and found it reduced methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus cases to zero in ICUs and by 35% overall.
