Super Bowl to set spending record, survey shows

Football fans plan to spend a record $11 billion on TVs, apparel, team merchandise, food and other party items to celebrate the Super Bowl on Feb. 5, according to a survey from NRF's Retail Advertising and Marketing Association. At least 5.1 million consumers plan to buy a new television for the game, the survey found.
