Free online math course appeals to more than Wis. students

A free online math course offered by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is drawing interest from more than college-bound Wisconsin students. The course -- covering algebra and geometry -- starts today and registrants include students ages 11 to 83 from all over the world. "Truly, I didn't think that many people were interested in developmental math," said Maggie McHugh, the university math instructor leading online lectures.
