New products, marketing tap into protein trend

A number of recently launched products claim to have high protein content, which may reflect consumers' growing concern about protein, observers say. A recent survey found that consumers are more concerned about getting protein in their diets than they are about any other nutrient except fiber and whole grains, according to the International Food Information Council.
