NRC delays ruling on Calif. nuclear plant's fate

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has extended its timeline for ruling on the fate of Southern California Edison's San Onofre nuclear plant in California as more on-site inspections need to be done. The facility has been offline for nearly a year because of steam generator problems. The NRC earlier projected a March decision, but now it sees a late April or early May decision.
