Kansas marriage question would ban civil unions too

A bill in the Kansas House that would place an anti-gay marriage amendment question on a statewide ballot also includes language that, if passed, would ban civil unions and the granting of any marriage-like rights to gays and lesbians. The bill must pass by Feb. 11 to be placed on a statewide ballot by April 5.
