Immigration law sanctions slipped into minimum wage bill

The Senate voted last week to insert a federal contracting ban against businesses that hire illegal immigrants into a bill that would raise the federal minimum wage from $5.15 to $7.25. Business lobbyists don't believe the sanctions will survive negotiations, but they do wonder what is in store for future immigration reform.
