Conn. travel agents say downturn hurting industry

Travel agents say that the industry is facing a number of challenges, including the economic downturn, fears of terrorism and do-it-yourself online vacation sites. "People are traveling, but not as much as they used to," said Mahendra Garg, owner of Travel World Inc. in Greenwich, Conn. "With the way the economy is, people are not sure of their jobs anymore, and travel is one of the things they cut out if they can."
