Intel adopts "say on pay"

A growing list of big-name companies are granting shareholders a vote on executive compensation. Intel will allow a nonbinding vote at its next annual meeting, the company's corporate secretary revealed. Hewlett-Packard and Occidental Petroleum have also moved to allow annual "say on pay" votes, a response to the public outcry over high pay during the financial crisis. Apple and Disney are among the companies that oppose the trend.
