Denver debates a ban on new LED billboards

A Denver City Council committee has recommended approval of an amendment to the city's signage law that would ban new LED billboards, clamp down on nonconforming outdoor signage and potentially make it tougher for new players to enter the market. The city is in a legal fight over 11 of the city's billboards, which the zoning administrator attributes to vague and confusing wording in the existing ordinance.
