Dog suffering from distemper responds well to experimental treatment

A veterinarian in Texas used an experimental procedure to treat Cahokia, a dog suffering from canine distemper. The procedure uses a serum derived from another dog injected with a Newcastle virus vaccine. Cahokia reportedly is recovering well but her final outcome likely will not be known for several more weeks.
