Initial results of special-education audit are positive in Miss. district

Preliminary results of an audit of special-education programs in Mississippi's Vicksburg Warren School District are positive, officials said. A 17-member audit team commissioned by state education officials visited all of the district's schools, looking to ensure that students with emotional disabilities were being properly diagnosed and educated. "I'm so pleased that they said the children are getting services," the district's special-education director said.
