Inspector sued for certifying alleged faulty roof

The owner of a flower shop in Southeast Texas filed a lawsuit against an inspector who certified a new roof only a month before it was damaged by heavy rains. The storm in 2008 caused interior damage, and the owner was forced to hire a second roofing contractor to build a new roof at the same location. The owner is seeking discretionary damages, attorney's fees, costs and other relief.
