Masks, sanitizers reduce flu symptoms in close living quarters

A University of Michigan study found college students in the school's dorms reduced their risk of flu-like symptoms up to 51% by wearing face masks for a few hours a day and regularly using alcohol-based hand sanitizers. The researchers said the findings could be useful for other close living quarters, such as military barracks or nursing homes, as well as in households.
