Mothers taking SSRIs see lactation delay after birth

New mothers who take certain antidepressants, including Prozac and Paxil, may have delayed lactation and need extra support to successfully breast-feed their babies, researchers reported. The study found the average onset of lactation was 85.8 hours for mothers taking selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors and 69.1 hours for mothers who weren't on SSRIs.
