Social-media dons meet in Davos

The chiefs of social media's four families -- Twitter, MySpace, Facebook and LinkedIn -- met with industry experts in Davos, Switzerland, Wednesday to plot strategies for future growth. The social-media giants agreed their sector had yet to achieve its potential, and offered few insights into how they would monetize their services, but said they expected to see their networks become increasingly important to businesses in coming months. "This is the heart of what a lot of social networks are about," said Twitter's Evan Williams.
