Tractor Supply sees big jump in fourth-quarter earnings

Tractor Supply earned $38.3 million, or $1.04 a share, for the fourth quarter, compared with $24.7 million, or 67 cents a share, from year-ago levels. Revenue rose 7.9% to $862.5 million, above analysts' expectations of $846 million. Tractor Supply expects to earn between $3.30 and $3.42 a share for 2010, on revenue of about $3.42 billion to $3.48 billion, above analysts' expectations of $3.27 a share, on revenue of $3.45 billion.
