Wal-Mart works to boost its global online expansion

Wal-Mart has established a global e-commerce division to bolster online expansion in new and existing markets. The company says the unit also will reorganize its domestic Walmart.com operation to align it more closely with its physical business. Wal-Mart runs separate online sites in the U.K., U.S., Canada, Mexico and Brazil. It is striving to develop a global e-commerce platform similar to that of Amazon.
