White House wants direct-deposit retirement for workers

The Obama administration says it will require employers who do not provide retirement plans to let workers have the choice of enrolling in direct-deposit individual retirement accounts. To pay for the administrative costs, it plans to offer tax credits to companies. Small firms will be exempt.
