Fla. district boosts social media presence, training after tragedy

School district leaders in Pasco County, Fla., recently received training in social media since the spread of online rumors following a student's suicide. Educators also will receive better access to social media and have an increased presence on such sites, which might have helped school and district officials manage the spreading of online rumors. "We could have definitely managed it better," said Fivay High School principal Angie Stone.
