How Newegg became a troll-slayer

Newegg has won "the mother of all patent battles" by defeating a patent troll that claimed to own the technology underpinning online shopping carts and had already won settlements and penny-on-the-dollar royalties from online retailers such as Victoria's Secret and Avon. That's a vindication of Newegg's longstanding policy of fighting patent trolls rather than settling with them, says legal chief Lee Cheng.
