Under the deal, Time Warner Cable will handle negotiations for local affiliate fees from rival pay-TV providers. It will also negotiate ad contracts and receive specific branding and TV programming rights. The agreement, which involves the creation of a third-party firm, American Media Productions, is subject to approval by Major League Baseball.
